You've probably imagined it, and some of you people out there have tried it... but, here's an internet version of the knife-between-the-fingers game. 5 Finger Fillets.
In the 1950 and 60s, Osamu Tezuka developed a story about Kimba the White Lion. The story follows Kimba as he grows into adulthood. His father is killed and Kimba is raised in the jungle. He matures and grows with the help of his mentors (a baboon and a bird) and his friends as well. The main villain is a lion named Claw (who has Hyena friends), who wants Kimba out of the picture. In 1994, Disney released "The Lion King", with the main character named Simba. The story follows Simba as he grows into adulthood. His father is killed and Simba is raised in the jungle. He matures and grows with the help of his mentors (a baboon and a bird) and his friends as well. The main villain is a lion named Scar (who has Hyena friends), who wants Kimba out of the picture. Disney claims to have never heard of Tezuka or Kimba until after the Lion King was released. Check out this comparison: Kimba vs. The Lion King ...and it seems they did the same thing with Atlantis, as well.
I was watching Finding Forrester, and despite the movie being "so-so", the soundtrack was AMAZING- Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, Bill Frissell.. but, there was one song that really intrigued me.. it was the song played during the closing credits- Somewhere Over the Rainbow / What a Wonderful World Medley. I did some homework, and soon discovered the legacy of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. He was a 750+ lb. Hawaiian ukulele player, but known much more for his voice. Check him out.
